About Jen Chester

Jen is a highly experienced therapist and teacher. She holds a Degree in Psychological Science from Griffith University, a Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy from the Ikon Institute, a Masters in Mental Health from UQ and is a qualified Equine Assisted Therapist through Equine Assisted Therapy Australia.
She lectured in Expressive Arts Psychotherapy at the Ikon Institute in Brisbane for 8 years.
Jen has extensive experience as a therapist and has worked as a Youth Worker in an Immediate Response residence for teenage boys and with vulnerable young people at both headspace and Mater CYMHS. Today she delivers Equine Assisted therapy and Art Therapy combined with Nature Therapy at Tamborine Village. Jen currently works with clients of all ages, including teens/young adults with ASD, ADHD and at-risk youth in care. She has extensive experience in working with neurodiverse clients.
Both Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Expressive Arts Psychotherapy are trauma informed experiential forms of therapy that can help develop new neural pathways to facilitate behavioural and cognitive change. Together they create a powerful process to enable transformation.
