Introduction to Art therapy workshops
A short course for professionals
This is a short (8 day) course for professionals in the therapy and counselling fields who wish to explore how to use Art Therapy with clients within their practice.
This course has a transpersonal approach to health and wellbeing in that it unites ancient and modern wisdom. The course is based on a shamanic model and is underpinned with the scientific theory and insights of both mainstream and transpersonal psychology as you learn the therapeutic qualities of various art modalities and materials. This is a highly experiential and practical course that is incredibly valuable for people who want to integrate Art Therapy into their current practice.
Participation will ensure that you fully understand how to safely integrate this powerful modality within your current practice. The workshops are experiential, hands on, so that you experience and fully understand the processes.
Processes which include exploring the qualities of the art materials, body mapping, clay work, sand tray, dreams and symbols, archetypes and mask work.
